Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data cricketfanslabs.forum collects, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do about it. It applies to this website and to email correspondence with us.
1. Who we are
cricketfanslabs.forum is published by Willowline Media Labs Private Limited, 3rd Floor, Kesar Bagh Commercial Block, 18 Tilak Cross Road, Shivaji Nagar, Pune, Maharashtra 411005, India. For any question about this policy, write to [email protected]. We are the data fiduciary and controller for the personal data described here.
2. What we collect
Information you give us. If you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, your email address, the subject category you select and the content of your message. We ask for nothing else, and you should not send us sensitive personal data such as health, financial or identity document information.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure records technical data when a page is requested: IP address, the page requested, referring page, approximate location derived from the IP address, browser and operating system identifiers, and timestamps. This data supports delivery, security and abuse prevention.
Information from cookies and similar storage. We store your cookie choice in your browser's local storage so that the consent banner does not reappear on every page. If you enable the analytics or functional categories, additional identifiers may be set. Our cookie policy sets out each category in detail.
We do not knowingly collect data from children, we do not operate user accounts, and we do not publish user-generated content.
3. Why we process it, and on what basis
- To answer your message. Basis: performance of your request and our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence.
- To keep the site available and secure. Basis: legitimate interest in operating and protecting our service, and compliance with applicable law.
- To understand which modules are read and where readers struggle. Basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner, where analytics storage is used.
- To remember display preferences. Basis: your consent for the functional category.
- To comply with legal obligations including responding to lawful requests from authorities.
We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with data brokers, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects.
4. Processors and third parties
We keep our supply chain deliberately small. We use a website hosting and content delivery provider, an email service provider for correspondence, and, where the analytics category is enabled, a web analytics provider. These processors act on documented instructions and are permitted to use the data only to deliver their service to us. Where a processor stores or accesses data outside India, we rely on contractual safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where they apply, and on transfers to jurisdictions permitted under applicable law.
Our pages may link to external sites such as official cricket bodies and cricket publications. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for their practices. Illustrative images may be served from a third-party placeholder image service, which will receive the request for that image.
5. Retention
Contact form messages and related correspondence are kept for as long as needed to deal with the matter and for a limited period afterwards to maintain a record of the exchange, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Server and security logs are kept on a short rolling basis. Aggregated analytics reporting, which does not identify individuals, may be kept longer for editorial planning. Consent records are kept as long as needed to demonstrate that consent was given, and your local cookie choice remains in your browser until you clear it or it expires.
6. Your rights
If you are in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you rights to access a summary of your personal data and our processing of it, to correct or complete inaccurate data, to erasure where the purpose has been met, to nominate another person to exercise your rights, and to a grievance redressal process before approaching the Data Protection Board.
If you are in the EU, EEA or UK, the GDPR and UK GDPR give you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, the right to withdraw consent at any time, and the right to complain to your supervisory authority.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA as amended gives you rights to know what personal information is collected and disclosed, to request deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
To exercise any right, email [email protected] with enough detail for us to identify the data. We may ask you to verify your identity, and we will respond within the period required by the applicable law.
7. Security
We serve the site over encrypted connections, restrict administrative access to named individuals, keep our software patched, and minimise the data we hold in the first place. No online service can promise absolute security, but a small data footprint is the most effective protection we can offer you.
8. Grievance officer and data protection officer
Complaints about our handling of personal data can be sent to the Grievance Officer, Willowline Media Labs Private Limited, at the registered address above or by email to [email protected]. Our Data Protection Officer can be reached at [email protected]. We acknowledge grievances promptly and aim to resolve them within the timelines set by applicable Indian law.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and revise the date shown above. Material changes affecting your rights will be signposted on the home page for a reasonable period. Continued use of the site after a change indicates that you have had the opportunity to read it.
